Getting Started with Aloftly

Aloftly is a real-time engagement platform that allows you to create interactive sessions and connect with participants instantly. You can run quizzes, gather feedback, host raffles, and create interactive experiences that participants join from any device.

This guide explains how Aloftly works and how to run your first session.

How Aloftly Works

Aloftly sessions are controlled by a host and joined by participants.

The host creates and runs the session from the Aloftly dashboard. Participants join using a simple room code from their phone, tablet, or computer.

Each session has three core components:

Host Control Panel
This is where you create sessions, push questions, spin raffles, and manage the experience.

Participant View
Participants join using a room code and interact in real time as you run the session.

Presentation View
This is an optional full-screen display designed for projectors, shared screens, or virtual meetings. It shows questions, results, leaderboards, and visuals for the audience.

Creating Your First Session

To create a session:

1. Sign in to your Aloftly account

2. From the Dashboard, select the type of session you want to create:
   Quiz Gust
   Pulse Gust
   Bingo Gust
   Raffle Gust

3. Enter a title for your session

4. Add questions, prompts, or entries depending on the session type

5. Click Go Live when you are ready to begin

Once live, Aloftly generates a unique 6-digit room code and a scannable QR code for participants to join.

How Participants Join

Participants can join from any modern web browser. No account or download is required.

To join a session, participants:

1. Go to aloftly.io/join

2. Enter the 6-digit room code

3. Enter a display name if prompted

4. Wait for the host to begin

Participants are automatically connected to the live session.

They will see questions, raffles, or Bingo cards as the host runs the session.

Ending a Session and Viewing Results

When your session is complete, click End Session.

Aloftly saves the results automatically.

You can review responses, participant activity, and reports from your Dashboard.

Reports can be exported depending on your plan.

Running a Live Session

Once your session is live, you control the entire experience.

You can:

• Open and close questions

• Reveal answers and results

• Spin raffles and select winners

• Advance through questions

• View leaderboards and responses in real time

Changes appear instantly on participant devices and the presentation view.

You control the pace and flow of the session.

Session Types Overview

Aloftly includes four session types:

• Quiz Gust
  Run scored quizzes with leaderboards and correct answers.

• Pulse Gust
  Gather live feedback, surveys, and participant input.

• Bingo Gust
  Run interactive Bingo sessions for engagement and team activities.

• Raffle Gust
  Randomly select winners using synchronized spinning visuals.

Each session type is designed for different engagement scenarios.

Best Practices for Your First Session

1. Start with a small test session to familiarize yourself with the controls.

2. Join your own session using a second device to see the participant experience.

3. Use the Presentation View if sharing your screen with a group.

4. Keep your first session simple and expand as you become comfortable.
